01.08 -- I Kings 6:1,38; 8:1-34

RE:flect
Please feel free to hit the "useful breath" link today as I am sure Dave may mention the significance of God's glory and the filling of the temple. But let me say one simple thing to make you think today. Patience.

RE:act
If we are so fast to say "... in your time Lord, we wait upon you" we should understand one of the lessons of the Book of Hebrews. That many faithful NEVER see what they were promised (cause many of the promises of God are greater than YOU). The nation of Israel grew over 400 years in Egypt, 400! And here we see that it is well over 400 years until they have a "house of worship" a temple, not the tabernacle. Look I am not sure where you are struggling in your life... I am not sure how long you have been a prisoner to sin. Perhaps it is an eating disorder for 3 years, are you willing to struggle and wait for 3 years to finally feel victory? There is the deliverance of the red sea, there is the presence of God in the wilderness, there are the ups and down of faithfulness -- but are you willing to really wait for the LORD to establish you (on HIS time, not yours)?

RE:ply
Lord, help me to wait.
Lord, help me to have faith.
Lord, help me to have victory. Thank you.

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
