11.21.07 RE:ading -- Numbers 13:1-3, 17-33

RE:flect

Are you ready to receive the promises of God? What are some of the things you are told you can do with Jesus Christ? What are the promises of the People of God? FAITH is always being tested for blessing. Think about it. God’s will, his desire, his passionate wish for Israel as that they would take the land that he had promised Abraham. That they would rest, rest in him. That they would farm the land, and grow in him also. That they would raise families, and find him as a King of the family of the nation. But were they ready (their faith) that God would provide?

This is not that different than Abraham’s faith. What kind of laughter do you have? Remember Dave’s sermon on this? After 430 years, here is a mature people (over 2 million most likely). They have a few weapons of war, but nothing compared to Egypt’s weapons. Wait, Egypt is at the bottom of the sea. Oh that we could see the blessing in front of us, and be prepare to obey and DO IT the way Caleb did.

RE:act

Change. That’s the idea today. If you want… influence, then serve. If you want…a family someday, obey your parents and learn from them. If you want…to make a difference, help those in front of your eyes today. Prepare yourself. God is providing you opportunity after opportunity to grow you spiritually. To prepare you for the blessings, and the responsibilities of those blessings.

What is it that you feel that you are turning from, not accepting, from God? And what possibly could God be (situation, blessing, obstacle) using that for in the future? Can you, with your "child like faith" look down the road and get excited on what God is preparing you for?

Re:ply

Lord, here I am today. again.
Lord, I need to see the blessings that you are laying before me. The role I need to play. The humble acceptance and joy to receive your gifts, your grace.
Lord, heal my heart of doubt, of little faith, and of fear. Drive all that is against you from me. Take all that keeps me from you from my mind.
Lord, inspire me today. At school. At work. Wherever I may be… help me to have your sight and to not see the giants of disbelief, anger, jealousy, sadness and hate that have enslaved so many lives around me.
I see that your mission is people, and they need freedom. You have called me to bring that freedom to them. Prepare me to fight against Satan, the world, and even their sin. Glorify yourself and save them.

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak badly against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their lies.” I Peter 3:15-16
