Man oh man. What an awesome chapter. filled with soooo much. Today let us consider something. After all of this time the angel allows Samson's parents to offer a burnt sacrifice to God--and rises towards heaven with the flames. Then the writer tells us that the Angel of the Lord appears no more. Notice that once Manoah knew he was the Angel of the Lord--he appeared no more.
Now consider what more God really needs to do for you once you reconize that Jesus is the Christ. Hasn't he answered all of your questions? Maybe not all of them. But the critical ones... yes! Do you hae the faith like Manoah's. Not that God doesn't care about you.. but he has said what he has said in the Bible. He has appeared to give us a message. And Jesus has gone to heaven. Can we join with Manoah today and say our faith is like his?
RE:act
Are you content with your faith now? Not your individual faith, yoru walk with God, but the object of your faith? Are you content with the Bible? Are you content with the length and subjects of it? Do you believe God is all wise? So.. then.. wouldn't the Bible be exactly what we need--if he is all wise?
Attempt, today, to be content with what God has shown us.
RE:ply
Lord, you are perfect, holy and good.
Lord, you have provided so much of yourself to us.
Lord, please don't allow me to enjoy the benifits of a relationship with you, until I realize what the Bible is, and read it, and listen to you... and take into my heart your message.
Lord, prepare myheart, speak to my heart, change my heart -- change my life.
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power." Hebrews 1:1-3
