01.14.08 Song of Solomon 3:7 – 4:16

RE:flect
Captivated, breathless, beautiful. Women long to hear this, to know that they are beautiful. Eventually the love of Daddy will fade, and later women want to know that they are desired, loved and the center of someones heart. This is a good lesson to learn (for us boys and men here). Beyond all these comparisons to towers, sheep, etc (things we do not understand cause we don't live in Israel and see the beauty of these things)... let us understand that it is a great thing to celebrate a wedding day!

RE:act
Next time you are going to a wedding, maybe you could then open up Song of Solomon chapters 3-4 and prepare yourself to see this happen. Think about these phrases and look into the eyes of the bride and groom. Whether they are believers or not, God has reserved these feelings for all of mankind (not just Christians). Love is glorious, marriage is glorious. God has some really awesome ideas for our lives -- if we would just read, reflect, react and reply to his word!

RE:ply
Lord, help me to see the point of love, the reality of love.
Lord, help me to seek to lose myself, my live through loving... so that I may find loves true definition and to discover myself, and what opportunities love creates for my life.
Lord, thank you for love, and for your love for us. You have made a wonderful world, and wonderful feelings. Help us not to become corrupted personally, like the world around us has been.
Lord, help us remain innocent, pure and to eagerly anticipate our "day" for marriage.

"Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
Genesis 2:23
