Are you content to have what you have now? If, I assume, that you are in right standing with the Lord… are you content with what you have.
We really have no excuse. Many of us have 3-4 Bibles at home, most Christians in the world don’t even have one. We have cell-phones, iPODs that cost more than a years wages for the bottom 2 Billion of the world. But let me ask you this…
Are you trusting God each day for your daily bread “your daily needs”. Are you willing to allow him to bless you each day? Would you rather get it all on Sunday for the week? Of the 1st of the Month? We should not assume that God has changed his motivations for his church, and each of us individually.
God told Moses that he would test the nation of
That meant our daily material needs. It is a difficult thing—in a culture of credit cards and Sam’s club sized portions—to think of life this way. I have 40 cans of soup in our pantry—enough for a month. I think our temptations with processed food and refrigeration are even greater. And we lose our daily trust in God in a more deadly and silent way. Determine to not let this happen to you!
Lord, you are the giver of life. The giver of every breath. I cannot do anything without you.
Lord, I thank you for what I have. Please show me through your word, other’s advice and my own convictions what I need to get rid of in my life.
Lord, I wish to be content and living with faith in you. Show me what this should mean.
Lord, I love you. I need you. I am made for you. Fulfill my soul in ways I can only dream of.
